Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in association with placement cell of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar organized 100 hours youth employability program via virtual platform – Zoom meeting app for 2020 passed out & final year students of B.Com, B.Sc. (Economics) and BBA from April 20, 2021 to July 31, 2021. Around 110 students of our college registered for this free employability training program. TCS shortlisted 96 students as per the pre-determined criteria. Students were divided into 2 batches. Ms. Lata Dharmarajan and Prof Garima provided 90 hours of instructor Led Training to the students. In addition to it, experts conducted 10 hours of webinar on computer training. Program covered different session that were Communication skills, Grooming & Etiquettes, Quantitative aptitude, Problem solving & Decision making, Basic Knowledge of computer & Internet, Career guidance Session, email writing, Corporate Etiquettes, Drafting of CV and Interview Skills etc. Besides this, each student also completed two self-learning courses provided by TCS iON Career Edge. Further, the students were guided and encouraged to avail the opportunity of placement. The students found this training program quite interesting and informative. 42 students successfully completed this program.
