Students of M.Com Sem IV— Chanpreet Kaur, Aleena Singh, and Sneha Mahajan delivered a well-prepared and insightful PowerPoint presentation highlighting key aspects of the budget.

The session proved to be highly engaging and interactive, encouraging students to actively participate in discussions. A total of 68 students from B.Sc (Economics) – Semesters II, IV, and VI and BBA Semester IV attended the session.

To enrich the learning experience, a video showcasing the history and important facts about the Indian Budget was also presented, helping students gain a broader perspective on its evolution and significance.

Mrs. Ravneet Arora, Head of the Department of Economics, applauded the efforts of the presenters and appreciated their excellent work. She also shared valuable insights into the various rituals and traditions associated with the Indian Union Budget, making the session more informative and meaningful.

Overall, the session was a great success, providing students with valuable knowledge and a deeper understanding of the Union Budget.

Director S. Jagdish Singh Ji and Principal Ms. Harpreet Kaur Uppal appreciated the students’ efforts towards a greener and sustainable future. 

The event reflected the college’s strong commitment to environmental responsibility and community service.

To mark the occasion, a team from Bhartiya Yog Sansthan, Punjab was invited. The team conducted an informative session on the relevance of yoga in daily life. This was followed by a practical demonstration of various Yoga asanas, which were performed by the students under the expert guidance. The participants reported feeling energetic and refreshed after the session.

Light refreshments were served to all students at the conclusion of the event.

Principal Ms. Harpreet Kaur Uppal extended her gratitude to the team members of Bhartiya Yog Sansthan, Punjab for their expert guidance and valuable contribution. She also appreciated the students for their overwhelming response and enthusiastic participation.

Gurbani Kirtan was organised at Buds Charm Mata Kaulan Marg Campus wherein the Ragi Bhai Jaswant Singh ji and students of SSSS schools and colleges performed Shabad Kirtan. Director, S. Jagdish Singh Ji enlightened the audience about the contribution of Sant Singh ji,the founder of SSSS. He further shed light on the history of 133 years of the institution and encouraged the young generation to work with dedication and make consistent efforts.

A special ‘Thanks-giving’ programme was organised at the Vidyak Bhawan. Prof. (Dr.) Karamjeet Singh ji, Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh ji (Retd.IG) graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and Dr. Amrinder Singh Malhi from AIIMS, proud alumnus SSSS, the Special Guest of the Day.The event was presided over by Justice S. Ranjit Singh Randhawa ji (Retd.).

Token of gratitude was presented to all the honourable Dignitaries of the day, Principals and Coordinators of SSSS institutions. On this occasion S. Gurjit Singh ji, S. Mahinder Singh ji, S. Jagjit Singh Jaggi ji, S. Lekh Raj ji were also honoured for their services to the SSSS institutions and society.  Students who contributed in writing the articles for book ‘Ibadat to Shadat’ dedicated to Sri Guru Teg Bahadur ji were also honoured on this occasion.

While addressing the gathering, Dr. Malhi encouraged the students to develop the habit of journaling to shape the future.

Congratulating the audience, the Chief Guest talked about the relevance and teachings of Gurbani. He emphasized on values of life comprising peace of mind and happiness, focusing on self-less sewa, humanity, and leading the healthy life in the present era of AI.

Dr. Kunwar talked on serving the society and nation and be aware of happenings of the world.

Remembering the great philanthropist S. Sant Singh ji, Mrs. Ravneet Arora presented the dignified journey of Sant Singh Sukha Singh Khalsa Educational Institutions, epitome of values, academics, sports and cultural activities.

The event ended with the presentation of the vote of thanks by Additional Director Dr. Manmohan Singh ji and the recitation of the National Anthem.

In continuation of this initiative, students enrolled in the advanced level of the course in February 2026. As part of the advanced module, titled “Design and Manage Analytics Solutions Using Power BI,” students further enhanced their skills in developing and managing analytical solutions. This training enabled them to transform raw data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards and visual reports.

Upon successful completion of the advanced module, 22 students from B.Com Semester VI, BBA Semester VI, and BCA Semester VI were awarded e-certificates during an online session held on April 28, 2026. The session was conducted by Mr. Om Kanoujia, Founder of Alar Solutions LLP. This upskilling initiative significantly strengthened the participants’ professional profiles, making them more industry-ready.The entire course was successfully coordinated and supervised by Ms. Gurleen Kaur, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science.

The event commenced with the French play ‘Necklace’ highlighting the illusion of materialism, and proceeded with a warm welcome address by S. Jagdish Singh Ji (Honorary Secretary and Director). Principal Mrs. Savita Khanna,SSSS College of Commerce and Allied Studies, presented comprehensive report of three colleges’ highlighting accomplishments and progress.

 Dr. Manmohan Singh on behalf of Justice Ranjit Singh Randhawa (former Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court) and the President of the Governing Council of SSSS Khalsa Educational Institutions presented the convocation address and congratulated the graduates, the ambassadors of SSSS, for their achievements and wished them successful future at threshold of new beginning.

Mrs. Ritika (Coordinator, SSSS College of Arts for Women, Amritsar) culminated the graduation ceremony.

The modeling round was judged by alumni Mrs. Deep, Mrs. Deepika Thapar, and Mrs. Karishma Arora. Director Sir S. Jagdish Singh Ji motivated students to cherish their bond with the institution, while Principal Ms. Harpreet Kaur Uppal conveyed warm wishes for their future.
