In its continued endeavour to equip students with industry-relevant competencies, practical knowledge, and future-ready skills, SSSS College of Commerce for Women, Amritsar, has launched three specialized bootcamps tailored to different stages of academic growth. Designed to address developmental needs beyond the standard syllabus, the progressive initiative drew an overwhelming response, with over 195 students registering across three targeted tracks: the FinTech Bootcamp for Semester-I, the Entrepreneurial Skills Bootcamp for Semester 3, and the Career & Employability Skills Bootcamp for Semester-V.

The inaugural sessions were held on August 8, 2026, marking the commencement of a structured journey toward practical and professional empowerment. The FinTech Bootcamp opened with a session by Mr. Satnam Rana—Founder of Rana Investments, Certified Financial Planner, CNBC TV18 Financial Advisor Awardee, and Trainer at the Financial Planning Academy, Mumbai. He introduced first-year students to the fundamentals of financial literacy, structured financial planning, risk assessment, and informed decision-making, emphasizing key habits such as saving and distinguishing needs from wants. This track was coordinated by Dr. Tina Vohra, Assistant Professor in Commerce, and Mrs. Ravneet Arora, Assistant Professor in Economics.

Simultaneously, the Entrepreneurial Skills Bootcamp engaged third-semester students in recognizing and cultivating their business potential. Participants evaluated individual strengths and key entrepreneurial traits through an interactive sticky-note self-assessment. To bridge theory with real-world application, college alumna Ms. Aastha set up a live bakery stall, offering students firsthand exposure to product display, customer engagement, and micro-business management. The session concluded with students mapping three personal passions into concrete business concepts for further development in subsequent modules, under the coordination of Mrs. Harpreet Kaur and Mrs. Monica Chhabra, Assistant Professors in Commerce.

Rounding out the program, the Career & Employability Skills Bootcamp for fifth-semester students featured CS Pooja Verma, who highlighted the evolving strategic relevance of the Company Secretary role in the modern corporate landscape.

Cs Harpreet Walia was also present in the session. She provided comprehensive guidance on navigating the CS course structure, including the entrance examination, executive, and professional levels. Coordinated by Dr. Samriti Kapoor and Ms. Mamta Arora, Assistant Professors in Commerce, the session, along with the broader initiative, delivered an interactive, insightful experience that established a strong benchmark for experiential learning and professional readiness across the institution.
