BOOK BANK FACILITY
Book bank is a regular program of the College under which needy students can avail this facility from the library every Monday and Saturday. To cover a wide spectrum of students, a book-bank fair is organized once every year under the project ‘Saugaat’. Under this scheme, the students of the college are allowed to take the books free of cost on the various subjects viz. Commerce, Economics, Management, Computer Science, Books on Literature (English, Punjabi, and Hindi), Religion, Spirituality, and competitive examination are also made available to the students. To consolidate the tenet of ‘sharing with others, the students are asked to come up with any book and take any book of their choice in return from the Book Bank.
BOOK READERS’ CLUB
Book discussion sessions are held for the students where the resource person presents a summary of the book in the form of PPT or through verbal discussions and listening to the story of the book the students are inspired to read the book.
The book club ‘Goshthi’ has been set up in the college to promote love for literature among the faculty. 3-4 members pick up books from the library for reading and share the contents and learning from the books with the rest of the members in the fortnightly meetings.
EARN WHILE YOU LEARN
It Is a scheme initiated to promote the concept of experiential learning and facilitate the students to be self-dependent. This scheme is an incentive for the interested students enrolled in a post-graduate course in Commerce to work on a part-time basis in the College and earn money to partly finance their education.
They are offered opportunities to work on teaching/research-based assignments or to assist in the library or IQAC unit of the College.
ROTARACT CLUB- THE COLLEGE UNIT
The club brings together people aged 18 and older to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills and have fun through service. Tree plantation drive, awareness programmes, reaching out to the needy, blood donation camp and many more such activities help the students learn the real essence of service to the community.
PLACEMENT CELL
Placement cell as an integral part of the College plays a vital role in making the students job ready. Career Counselling sessions, seminars, personality development programmes, placement drives are conducted round the year to groom the students for future job placements.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP CELL
Entrepreneurship Cell has been established at the College in the year 2021 with the motive to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and leadership in the students. This cell conducts activities, talks and seminars in order to encourage the young minds to take initiatives to create, innovate and collaborate solutions for the betterment of the society.
