SSSS  College of Commerce for Women, a progressive institution established in 1993 with its commitment to  pursue excellence in education through innovation and integrity, celebrated 31st foundation day  on  Friday, September 01,2023.

The foundation day was celebrated with religious fervour and enthusiasm in the College campus. The Bhog Sehaj Path was performed on this occasion.  Soulful Hymns from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji were sung and Ardas was intoned. 

  1. Jagdish Singh ji, Hony.Secy., Heads and faculty members of SSSS institutions and members of the students’ council and students of all the courses were present on this occasion. While addressing the sangat, the Hony. Secy. talked about how this College came into existence. He congratulated the students & their parents and faculty for showing excellent University Results

since its inception. He emphasized on performing the tasks with concentration and dedication, and maintaining discipline in life. 

Dr. Navdeep Kaur, Principal, while thanking Almighty for showering HIS love and blessings, congratulated the students and the staff for continuing the legacy of maintaining the Gurmat Traditions of the College. Remembering the first batch of 20 students, she talked about the efforts and contributions made by all students and members of the staff for the remarkable progress made over the years. She talked about the contribution of NSS unit of the College in collaboration of ’Reap Benefit-NGO organization’ in cleanliness drive and creating awareness among community. She thanked the Director Sir for enlightening the faculty. 

A special Prize distribution function at Rose Villa Hall was also held to felicitate the meritorious students of sessions 2022-23 and 2023-2024. These included 100 students who performed Gurmat sewa throughout the session, excelled in academics, in rangoli competitions, in quiz competition pertaining to the Magazine ‘Sifti’ conducted by the College and those by Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle. Prizes included cash prizes, momentos, certificates and medals.  

To add colour to the festivities, everyone dressed in attire either of the colours of “Pillars of SSSS” viz. saffron, red, white, and blue signifying religiosity, integrity, transparency and steadfastness.

Madam Sardarni Swarn Kaur ji, Dr. Manmohan Singh, President, Mrs. Savita Khanna, Mrs. Shweta Sharma, Dr. S. Gurrattan Singh, S. Satpal Singh, S.Sukhwinder Singh, S. Gurpreet Singh, Mrs. Arvinder Kaur, and Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur, S. Jagjit Singh Jaggi were also present on this occasion. 

Students of NSS and Rotaract club maintained discipline.
