A Short Course in Business Ethics under IKS was planned and executed for final-year Commerce students of the College under the leadership of Principal Dr Navdeep Kaur. The course included a curriculum focusing on business ethical practices that different religions teach. Students gained insights into the relevance of these practices in today’s business and entrepreneurship scenario. The main focus of this course was to enable students to understand the ‘why’ and ‘how’ these practices can be observed. The course also delved into the Indian knowledge system, highlighting its significance in the present day. By discussing ways to facilitate the Indian knowledge system, students were encouraged to think critically about how to integrate traditional practices with modern technology for facilitating cultural heritage and understanding the world at large. 51 students participated in the course.At the end, students’ comprehension was assessed. Certificates were awarded to candidates who successfully qualified in the written examination Through this program, students developed a deeper appreciation for the importance of ethics in business in context to cultural and spiritual values.
