A book-bank fair was organised in the college on October 12, 2021 under the project ‘Saugaat’. Under this scheme, the students of the college were given an opportunity to take the books free of cost.
Approximately 750 books, based on various disciplines like Commerce, Economics, Management, Computer Science, Literature (English & Punjabi), Religion, Spirituality and competitive examination were made available to the students in the college campus. To consolidate the tenet of ‘sharing with others’, the students were invited to come up with any book and take any book of their choice in return from the Book Bank. The enthusiasm amongst the students was clearly visible in this unique book fair.
It was noteworthy that the students were much interested in the books related to literature and general knowledge. Director, S. Jagdish Singh inaugurated the college book fair and inspired the students to inculcate in them the habit of reading. Principal, Dr. Navdeep Kaur expressed satisfaction and happiness over the immense response of the students and thanked the staff members for their co-operation. Mrs. Simranjit Kaur (Librarian) and Mrs. Monica Chhabra were the co-ordinators of the event.
