SSSS College of Commerce for Women, Amritsar hosted an event Report-A-Thon on March 25, 2022 on the occasion of the world water day. The event was an initiative undertaken by Reap Benefit, an NGO based in Bengaluru, Karnataka with the aim to tackle and solve the local environmental and civic problems using various technologies like Ninja, Whatsapp Chatbot etc.190 student members of the student council of the college attended the session. The session was coordinated by Mrs. Ravneet Arora, Assistant Professor in Economics and Ms. Kiran Bala, Assistant Professor in Punjabi. The resource person, Mr. Bharat Bansal from Reap Benefit apprised the students about the need and importance of water conservation and also made them aware about the Punjab Public Grievance Redressal Service Portal (PGR) and how it can be used for reporting various issues relating to civic amenities. The resource person also interacted with the students in order to gather their feedback as well as their suggestions. Principal, Dr. Navdeep Kaur, thanked the resource person and appreciated them for the wonderful initiative being undertaken by them.
