SSSS College of Commerce for Women, Amritsar, in collaboration with Amandeep Group of Hospitals, organised a Breast as well as Cervical Cancer Awareness Session on 7 October 2026 at 11:00 AM in the college campus. The programme aimed to sensitise faculty members about breast and cervical cancer, early detection, preventive care and the importance of timely medical consultation.
The session was delivered by Dr. Naina Mehndiratta, MBBS, MD (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), Certified Infertility and Reproductive Medicine Specialist and Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Amandeep Medicity, Amritsar.
Dr. Mehndiratta provided valuable information on recognising warning signs, preventive practices, regular screening and the significance of seeking medical advice at the appropriate time. Her informative and engaging interaction helped the participants develop a better understanding of women’s health, breast and cervical cancer prevention.
A total of 56 teaching and non-teaching faculty members attended the session and participated with keen interest.
Principal Ms. Harpreet Kaur Uppal and OSD Dr. Surinder Kaur Walia appreciated the initiative and commended the efforts behind organising such a relevant and purposeful awareness programme.
